Ronald Fisher arrived on the science scene not long after Darwin departed... And it's hard to think of a better successor. Throughout his life he proved himself in math, statistics, genetics, philosophy and more, practically inventing the fields of population genetics and biostatistics in his wake. 

Yeah... he's one of those guys.
