When we made this video two years ago, we had no idea the elusive particles would be discovered so soon! Now, it seems the last puzzle piece has been placed into the Standard Model of Particle Physics.

Way to go, CERN! More specifically, ATLAS and CMS!

So, I'd like to know more/try to understand the significance of the super duper super collider in europe... did the bit of bagel from the sky derail the whole project?

thankfully, the baguette did not stop the folks at CERN - they got the collider up and running and they've been making awe-inspiring discoveries ever since! They've even found signature signs from the ever-elusive Higgs Boson.
