Science has created Light Sabers.

Thank you science.

Researchers from MIT and Harvard have managed to get photons (the non-particle, non-wave thingymagigs of light) to join together to produce molecules.

For those of you not interested in physics and atomic chemistry.  This is f*&%%ing cool.

This means light sabers.  Like Luke Skywalker-Darth Vader light sabers.  As you can tell, I'm somewhat excited about this new development.

Except, it requires a vacuum and near-absolute zero temperatures to get the photons to actually interact.  When the photons are slowed down to extremely low levels (for a photon at least) then pulses from a weak laser can coax them to interact, from there we get the normally massless photons to become, or at least behave, like a molecule.

The result?
