Weather modification has always been firmly seated in the realm of quackery. Whether you're dancing in a field to bring rain, or firing "hail cannons" to prevent hail, there's been little scientific evidence to back up any claims that our Cumulus friends were paying even the slightest attention.
Cloud seeding, however, may finally have earned its place in the sun. Or... in front of the sun. Australia, Africa, the Vancouver Olympics... now it seems like everywhere you look you find someone who wants to tinker with the troposphere! And hey, if everybody's doing it, it must be okay!
... Right?
