Kids are dirty - they stick marbles up their noses, eat gum off the ground and dare each other to lick a cockroach. It's time the Western world figured out that kids are dirty for a reason. Children are learning their environment and their bodies, particularly their immune systems are also learning about what is good and bad from the environment.
Let your kids get dirty, encourage them to play in the barn or run without shoes on...just draw the line at flinging feces.
